The real decision

US CMA vs CA vs ACCA vs MBA — honestly.

Most students in India are choosing between these four. Here's the comparison without the sales pitch.

Forget the syllabus for a minute

What does a US CMA actually do all day?

This is the job you're training for. Not chapters — decisions.

09:30

"Why did we miss the number?"

Sales came in 8% below plan. You find out whether it was price, volume, or one lost customer — and tell the business which.

Performance analysis
11:00

"Can we afford this hire?"

Ops wants three more people. You model what it does to next year's costs and cash, and what has to be true for it to pay off.

Planning & forecasting
14:00

"Is this product making money?"

Everyone loves the new product. You trace what it really costs — setups, support, returns — and find it's losing money per unit.

Cost management
16:30

"What does the board need to see?"

You turn 40,000 rows into one slide that changes a decision. That slide is why the company pays you.

Analytics & reporting

That's the work. If you're the type who wants the full topic list too — it's right below.

The whole qualification

Two exams. That's it.

Here is the entire US CMA in sixty seconds. No jargon, no 40-page syllabus PDF.

The money question

What US CMAs actually earn in India.

Published market ranges — not our promise. Your salary depends on your skills, city and employer, not the certificate alone.

Fresher0–2 years
₹5–8 LPA
MNC / GCC fresher0–2 years
₹6–10 LPA
Mid-level3–5 years
₹12–18 LPA
Senior8–10 years
₹25–40 LPA

₹40 LPA+

Where these come from: publicly reported ranges aggregated from AmbitionBox and Glassdoor India data as cited across industry sources in 2026. Ranges vary widely by city — Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurugram sit at the top end. Gulf packages are typically tax-free but vary by employer. Apex does not guarantee any salary or placement outcome — certification plus demonstrable skills is what employers pay for.

Straight answers

Your questions, answered straight.

Am I even eligible?
To sit the exams: you can start while still studying — final-year students and even 12th-pass students begin preparation with us. To get certified, IMA requires a bachelor's degree in any discipline (submitted within 7 years of passing) plus 2 years of relevant work experience, which can come before or after the exams. Engineering, arts, science — all accepted.
I'm working full-time. Is it possible?
Yes — this is the single most common Apex profile. Most working students give 1.5–2 hours on weekdays and longer on weekends, and finish in 10–14 months. We run late-evening and weekend batches, and every session is recorded. The realistic constraint isn't intelligence, it's consistency.
Is it hard? What are the pass rates?
Global CMA pass rates sit around 45–50% per part — so how you prepare matters more than how much you know. That's exactly why guided preparation makes the difference it does. The exams are application-based, not memory-based, which is exactly why unguided self-study struggles. Our documented first-attempt pass rate is 95%, and the reason is simple: 1500+ MCQs solved live in class until the examiner's logic becomes yours.
I'm from a non-commerce background.
Completely fine, and more common than you'd think. Part 1 starts from fundamentals. Engineers often do better than commerce students on the analytical sections — the maths is straightforward, the reasoning is where marks live. You'll need a slightly longer runway on the accounting basics; we build that into your plan.
What does the whole thing cost?
Three separate costs: IMA fees (membership + entrance + two exam fees, paid in USD directly to IMA), coaching, and study material. Apex is the most affordable coaching in the market — mocks from ₹999, the crash system at ₹9,999, and full course fees shared on consultation. We also protect your exam fee: you register with IMA only when your mock scores prove you're ready.
Will I actually get a job?
The credential opens doors; it doesn't walk through them for you. What actually gets hired is CMA plus Excel, ERP familiarity and the ability to explain numbers to non-finance people. Every Apex program includes CV building, mock interviews and curated openings, and we have a 100% placement track record to date — but we won't promise you a specific salary, and and you should be cautious of anyone who does.
What if I fail?
You retake that part — your other part stays passed. But the more useful answer: our support doesn't expire when the syllabus ends. If you don't clear, you continue with us at no additional charge until you do. That's the actual promise, and it's why we push mocks so hard before you book.
Is US CMA valid in India?
Yes — it's a US credential from IMA, recognized globally and widely hired for in India by MNCs, Big 4 and the 1,600+ Global Capability Centres operating here. It is not the same as CMA India (ICMAI), and it doesn't grant Indian statutory audit rights — that's CA territory. For corporate finance, FP&A and management accounting roles, it's directly relevant.
