About the Course

What is the US CMA Certification?

The US CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is a professional certification awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants, USA. IMA serves approximately 140,000 accounting and finance professionals across 150 countries, giving candidates access to an international professional network.

Employment opportunities today are GLOCAL — Global + Local. Students can pursue rewarding finance careers both in India and abroad, with leading MNCs and globally competitive Indian companies.

US CMA develops knowledge in planning, performance, analytics, corporate finance and strategic decision-making. Its value depends on how well that knowledge is combined with relevant experience, communication skills and the needs of a particular employer.

US CMA vs CMA India: These are different credentials issued by different professional bodies. US CMA is issued by IMA, USA and focuses on management accounting and corporate finance; CMA India is issued by ICMAI and follows the Indian professional framework. Choose based on the roles and geography you are targeting.
Eligibility

Who Can Pursue the US CMA?

You do not need a commerce background to begin. Certification requirements still apply.

01 After Class 12Students from science, commerce or arts can begin preparing; passing the exams alone does not complete certification.
02 Graduate — Any FieldA qualifying bachelor's degree or approved professional certification can satisfy IMA's education requirement.
03 Final-Year StudentBegin preparation while completing your degree, then submit the required education documentation to IMA.
04 Professional QualificationCertain approved certifications may satisfy IMA's education requirement; verify your specific qualification with IMA.
05 Working ProfessionalWeekend and online study options can be planned around a working schedule.
06 International CandidateJoin live online classes from outside India, subject to suitable class timings and exam arrangements.
Experience requirement: 2 years of professional experience in management accounting or financial management — can be completed BEFORE or within 7 years of passing the exam.
Science or Arts background? Your prior stream does not prevent you from beginning CMA preparation. IMA's education and experience requirements still apply for certification.

About US CMA at Apex.

What is US CMA and who is it for?

The US CMA is a professional certification awarded by IMA, USA, for management-accounting and corporate-finance careers. Students can begin preparing after Class 12, while IMA's education and experience requirements must be completed to earn the certification. It can suit graduates, working professionals, CAs and candidates targeting MNC, GCC, Big 4 or international finance roles.

Can I start US CMA preparation after Class 12 from a science background?

Yes. Students from science, commerce or arts can begin preparing after Class 12. To earn the CMA certification, you must also meet IMA's current education, experience, membership and exam requirements.

Why does Apex recommend a readiness review before exam booking?

IMA exam fees are substantial. Apex uses repeated mock performance, topic balance, timing and weekly progress to help you make a better-informed booking decision. The review reduces guesswork but cannot guarantee an exam result.

Can I try the US CMA Full Course before enrolling?

Yes. Choose Part 1 or Part 2 and start a seven-day free trial. The trial begins on your first class attended or LMS activation date and expires automatically after seven days. One trial is available per student and mobile number; complete course-material downloads are disabled during the trial.

Do you offer free demo classes?

Yes. Current confirmed demo slots are Part 1 classroom at Andheri West on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday from 7:00–9:00 PM; Part 2 live online on Wednesday and Thursday from 1:30–4:00 PM; and Part 2 classroom at Andheri West on Saturday from 2:00–5:00 PM. How many MCQs do you solve in class?
